Bianchi: Muschamp needs to 'get a grip' on his emotions, quit battling fans
"I believe Muschamp will be a tremendous coach at UF, but he's doing himself no favors right now. I get that he's a fiery, emotional coach, but the last thing he needs is to get into a hissing match with fans -- many of whom already want him fired amid what is almost certain to be the first losing season in 34 years.
When you're in the middle of a five-game losing streak at the University of Florida, fans are going to be critical and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Responding to the criticism doesn't stop it; it only amplifies it.
This is the new reality for Will Muschamp.
Athletic Director Jeremy Foley gave Muschamp a very public and very strongly worded show of support last week, but that's not going to lessen the fan criticism.
There's one way and one way only to get UF's fan base back on his side.
Will Muschamp must figure out a way to win.
In the interim, taking on a bunch of irate fans is a no-win situation."
